Plenty when we started a Beaver, the *new* parking area for Benton is 1.6 mile roadwalk, Irene did a number on the road |

The trail maintainer of Benton Trail deserves huge props for the love this trail gets. The water bars have seen some serious love and work, and the amount of blowdowns cleared, and their size, are staggering. You sir, are a super hero. It was one of the finest trailbeds I have ever walked on. |

One of the finest days in the forest in recent memory.
For me, every step was a new trail! Beaver Brook was in fine shape and mostly dry up until about 4000, it was patchy snow/firm rail until treeline. No need for spikes along all trails listed. Stunning views to be had along the trail, the cascades offered welcomed air conditioning in the humidity. Surpisingly few folks out, only ran into about ten folks along all trails, aside from summit which had about 15. Shockingly, there was four people on Benton! We enjoyed pleasant conditions on the summit of Moose, we occupied one of the stone windbreaks and enjoyed fine views, hazy, but was fun to trace familiar ridges. On our way out we went down the Benton Trail, which came highly reccomended by a redliner. It was truly one of the nicest trails I have ever been on. Don't tell anyone. The outlook is growing in, Nordic Gal said it was much better in years prior. Noted dwarf gerranium on the way out!
