| Comments: |
Great weather for this hike today with magnificent views. No wind and sunny yet cool comfortable temps throughout the hike. Barebooted past the first junction on WJ; about 2 miles into the hike then Micros for packed snow until just prior to Jackson summit. All rock on top with great views 360 degrees and no wind. Started bareboot toward Mizpah but quickly back on with the spikes for packed & loose snow. There were a couple breakthrough areas that would land you in a puddle. Mizpah was dry but off and on with the spikes for the trek to Pierce for alternating stretches of bare rock and packed snow. Dry on Pierce and spikes half way down Crawford before barebooting to the road. |
