| Water Crossing Notes: |
Be prepared to get your feet wet! First crossing at ~0.5 miles is very fficult to rock hop, so I just waded through. Water is flowing fast. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail between Mt. Cabot and the Horn Spur is NOT well marked or maintained. I only counted six blazes in the entire ~2.8 mile stretch. Blazes were also not seen on Bunnell Notch Tr, but the trail was much clearer since there was no snow there. |

Found a black beanie with red text that read "Hibernator" - left at the East York Pond parking area. |

Awesome but VERY rugged and wet hike. Be prepared to get your feet wet. Lots of flowing water, mud, and snow on the trail. Between Cabot and the Horn, trail is very difficult to discern (tracks were barely visible and there was no apparent monorail for a lot of it) so keep your GPS handy. Gorgeous views from the Horn, though, and the pond was really pretty. Definitely want to go back when it is drier in the summer, but had a blast overall! |
