Bottom of White Dot Trail was super muddy thanks to rain the prior 2 days. Once at the rock steps, the mud subsided. There were areas of wet rock, mostly avoidable on the ups. Upper ledges and slabs were all dry. Super strong winds on the summit made for an interesting time. Crowds started to gather as we were leaving (as to be expected on this mountain). Pumpelly Trail to Red Spot had some puddles that could be avoided. Red Spot had several areas of standing and running water that were passable with care. Otherwise all trails in great shape and an exceptional day with clear views, and no bugs thanks to the wind! We passed and were passed along the trail all day, but everyone was very polite and kept all the necessary space as needed. |
