Comments
Comments: Lots of skiers out enjoying this surprise April snow - they established a beautiful packed skin track up to the top of the lifts. I’d guestimate 18ish” of new snow, which carries across the ridge to Wildcat A. Wildcat ski trails were mostly bare last week; today skiers seemed to have no problem descending without scraping bottom...if that gives you an idea of how much snow Pinkham notch received from this storm.

At the time I descended, only four of us had snowshoed out to Wildcat A and back, laying down the start of a nicely packed trail. Unfortunately we will probably continue to need snowshoes at higher elevations for a while yet. Ew.
