Comments
Comments: Had the trail to myself today... first in the lot at 0815 and saw nobody until the last .5 mile of the hike. Four cars in lot upon return at 1500. Beautiful day with amazing views, warm temps and very little wind. No snow to shelter. Thereafter pockets of snow of varying sizes but not enough to ever bother to put on the snowshoes (would have put them on and taken them off about a hundred times). There were many snowshoe postholes that I mostly utilized as footholds. Occasionaly I postholed but the remaining snow likely won't be there much longer. Ended up barebooting from start to finish. The ledges were sketchy due to melting snow but I cautiously made my way past the tough spots with help of strategic handholds (rock, stunted trees). My first time for this hike and definitely gets listed as one of my favorites.
