Comments
Comments: Great afternoon counter-clockwise loop. Went looking for a snow-free hike and this hit the spot. Dry and snow-free all the way to the summit of Welch. First snow/ice found on north side of Welch heading down into the col - most could easily be stepped around, but occasionally needed to take a few steps on soft snow. Patches here and there up to Dickey, then a few small patches on the way down - all easily avoided. So, not 100% snow free, but close enough, and all the ledge areas were free of any traces of winter. Microspikes took a ride in the backpack the entire way.
