Comments
Comments: Solid spring conditions; couple of cold nights had the trails set up nice and firm, gorgeous all the way to Passaconaway. A few sketchy spots on Rollins where it had drifted over, but microspikes worked fine. Walden was a different story: only one set of snowshoe tracks that had set up solid, so basically a study in overgrown postholes w a bit of powder and some ice thrown in for good measure. I'd just avoid that trail entirely until it melts out -- it's a mess, doesn't work for snowshoes or spikes right now.
