Please remember to take the plastic protectors off your snowshoes before using them! I found a few out there- and packed them all out. |

I wore microspikes the whole day, hiking partner used no traction. Trail was very stable, but any step off and you'll sink up to your waist. There were a few trailside post holes from people doing this. Snowshoes got a free ride although I heavily considered them for the last half mile. I missed my televators dearly on that little steep section. There's another post about shin-high drifts, but there were none detectable by the time I hit the summit in the afternoon. |
