Only East and West Monson Roads are blazed. The plethora of footpaths that wind around out here are unmarked and could easily be confusing without the SPNHF map of the property. |

No real plan here, we just kind of wandered around from path to path. Conditions were a mix of mud, thin wet snow and ice. Spikes could be worn I suppose, but it's easy enough to bareboot at the moment. We checked out a number of cellar holes scattered around this former NH village, and ventured out onto the beaver pond, which was frozen solid. Some really cool eagle nests here! Will have to revisit in the summer and fall seasons. |
