| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking lot and access road not plowed in the morning but plowed upon my return. Only about 4 or so inches of snow on top of packed snow/ice. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Wet/Sticky, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
I broke thru Downes Brook about 6 feet from the western bank on the ascent. The bridge looked sketchy and it gave way. I wound up detouring to the right a few feet and it was OK. OK on descent also. |

| Comments: |
I was the first one on the trail in the morning and it was pretty chewed up. Very soft snow conditions. From the viewpoint to the summit, there was a lot more snow with some epic post holes. I used snowshoes start to finish. The snow was so soft that it was very slick coming down. Did a lot of sliding. |
