Comments
Comments: Lonesome Lake Tr is very well packed from trailhead to Coppermine Col. Fishin Jimmy Tr and Kinsman Ridge Tr from Kinsman Junction to South Kinsman and from NE Cannonball to Coppermine Col is all well packed also. Kinsman Pond Tr was packed to the pond outlook past the shelter; a few people broke it out this afternoon. Kinsman Ridge Tr from Coppermine Col heading towards Cannon also looked very well packed. I ran into a fellow redliner who helped consolidate Around the Lake Tr and Dodge Cutoff. Kinsman Ridge Tr between Kinsman Junction and NE Cannonball was in pretty rough shape. Thanks to postholio breaking trail, even after 3 or 4 sets of snowshoes today it needs more work and that means people wearing snowshoes! If u own them, bring them and use them. Luckily there were enough people in snowshoes and some butt sliders to compensate for all the people in spikes. I was breaking/reconsolidating until I ran into another guy heading South on the North side of the Middle Cannonball and then consolidated his tracks to NE Cannonball. It took about 15 minutes to find where the trail went thru the blowdown patch on top of Middle Cannonball and then whack a bypass around it. Really slowed my overall speed and had to break out the headlamp at Lonesome Lake for the trip down to the car
