Comments
Comments: There was evidence of an older snowshow pack under a couple inches of new snow, but the packed route is pretty narrow. It's not too hard to stay on it, but the snow is very deep if you happen to step off. I snowshoed up and down the whole way, but one person can only do so much. The route is easy to follow until a couple tenths from the top, where the established route does not necessarily follow the blazed trail. I packed out a couple wrong ways. The most confusing part is an abrupt 90 degree turn to the right, just at some leaning over trees full of snow. There's a small blue sign about shoulder height here for the way down.

The beginning of this trail is a little awkward. Part at the tiny lot, follow the road down past a bunch of signs saying "no vehicles, hikers welcomed", and then past someone's house with beware of dog signs. After the house, you'll come to a point with an orange DOC sign pointing out that the trail continues straight, but you've got two options for what straight means - more to the left on the snowmobile trail, or more to the right in the narrower corridor up the hill. To the right is the correct route. Blazes will appear before too long.
