Comments
Comments: Trip started off easy enough, some new powder all the way to black pond, powder started to get a little deeper on the black pond bushwhack, once on the Lincoln Brook trail we threw on snowshoes for the rest of the day. Lincoln Brook trail had a decent amount of new snow but not too terrible, fairly easy to navigate all the way to Brutus. At Brutus is where things got real, over a foot of new powder and the old trail was completely covered. Took us a couple hours to break out to the summit. If you follow our path keep your the left, we went way off course on Brutus but somewhat corrected it on the way back. Lots of knee deep drifts on the summit and the trail will probably be erased from the wind again. Long tiring day but we earned some good karma for this one
