Comments
Comments: I hiked counter-clockwise. There were significant but inconsistent ice patches for the first mile and a half. They were easily avoided. When I reached the view point on the east side of Welch I put on the spikes. I kept them on for the rest of the hike. The ledges had a mix of thick ice, thin patchy snow and bare rock. There was very little snow anywhere on the mountains.
