Comments: ascent via white cross, descent via white dot

I wore kahtoola exospikes (xmas present, first time out) and they were perfect for these conditions. There were frequent icy sections on the trails - they can be avoided with some rock-hopping and we saw plenty of people hiking both trails to the summit without traction - but it is much easier with spikes. Almost no snow - no need for ice axe or crampons right now.
