| Comments: |
Perfect day on the Baldfaces! It was surprisingly warm and there was minimal wind. We saw two moose from afar while we were on the Baldface Knob, but no other people all day. Spikes were sufficient on the bottom 2/3 of Slippery Brook and Bicknell Ridge, but snowshoes are highly recommended on the upper parts of these trails and along the ridge. We broke trail for a large portion of this, as well. There is not a good snowshoe track yet but the rain coming in the next couple days will likely alter the trail conditions greatly. |
