Comments: Blueberry Mtn Trail - Long Pond side

Snowshoe trail is mostly packed down, but may be soft at times if using microspikes. Snowshoed the whole way. Off-trail is all powder -- sweet. Certain areas are crusty ice with no issues. False tracks showing up twice --- always pick the one on the right instead of straight. The first false track at mile 1.3 miles (2 mi with long pd rd walk, or 2.3 miles with Glencliff lot rd walk), trail has one on right, one in middle, and one straight. Go Right--thru 2 trees with a diamond sign on it that is gray on one side (used to be yellow) and yellow behind it. Keep steering right thru narrow trees instead of thru open field of snow. The 2nd false track to the summit is after the amazing viewpoint of Moosilauke ravines/gulley -- Go Right --thru sketchy narrow boulders track to reach summit, which is mostly obstructed views. As Mcgray says in his book, if you're descending, you've gone the wrong way. Snow on ledges are much softer, and random small rock surfaces can be felt due to snow drift.
