| Water Crossing Notes: |
all crossings completely doable (we avoided the Bennett St. waterfall area on the way up, but on the way down it was fine) |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Do Not attempt this hike if you need blazes to find your way! You have to be able to find the trail visually. There are signs at key places, but no blazes on trees |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
our two dogs were very happy -- had no trouble with fords. One of them should have been leashed at the top; our bad! |

Bennett Street (w/section on Gleason/Flat Pond)
Dusting of snow, increasing to about an inch or so near the summit; microspikes were very helpful, especially on upper part of descent.
great hike, taking us through varied landscape -- old logging roads, high mountain coires, river valley. Wonderful views on top today, all the way to Presidentials and Franconia. Not crowded. |
