| Comments: |
Needed microspikes beginning ~2500-3000'. Desolation Trail very steep, icy under snow. Colder in the shadier north side of Carrigain. Much more mellow descending Signal Ridge. Not a single other hiker on the Carrigain Notch and Desolation segments. |
