Overall well marked, but additional cairns at the rock scramble below South Baldface would have been helpful. Looking for the cairns added to the overall hike time. |

Highly recommend hiking this loop clock-wise, and waiting for dry conditions. Most challenging scrambles located between the shelter and false summit of South. Following the cairns guides the easiest path through this area.
Overall this hike had the most amazing views and the col between north and south was fantastic with alternating ledges and wooded areas. Total miles - 9.9 with the last 1.5 hours by head lamp. |
