Comments
Comments: My first ever trip up Monadnock. Rain the evening prior and temps not reaching out of the 30s created a mostly damp trail. Wet leaves on the lower portion weren't too bad, mostly just hiding some rocks and slippery roots in places. Rock slabs were half dry by the time I reached them, but definitely still some wet patches. I passed a couple of parties who warned of ice higher up, and while I did encounter small patches, all were completely avoidable by the time I reached them. This trail had way more up and down than I had anticipated! Cold and breezy on the summit. Naturally quite crowded, most weren't lingering due to the wind chill or had found little nooks to hide in and take a break. Most were wearing face coverings.
