Trail Maintenance Notes: If attempting the bushwhack from Green Mountain to Tecumseh, some branches have been clipped but watch for yellow blazes often, I found myself taking wrong turns fairly often, due to blowdown or ambiguous areas.

Comments
Comments: Began at 5:30 on Welch/Dickey loop counterclockwise, hoping to catch sunrise on the ledges. Trail was dry with a few avoidable trickles on the slabs. I followed the ledges NE toward Green Mtn, and found a clear herd path after a short whack. The herd path was very easy to follow except in one open ledge area near a wet marsh on the left. I ended up whacking for awhile until the path returned, and it was clear up to Foss Peak and most of the way to Green Mtn, save for some minor blowdowns. From Green Mtn to the radio tower by the end of Sosman Tr, the trail was marked with yellow blazes, somewhat cleared but progressively harder to follow in the saddle, due to very thick tree cover. I emerged at the radio tower, following Sosman to the Tecumseh summit loop. The eastern side of the summit loop is very muddy. On the summit I met Ben and Russell, who asked for some map assistance on the descent. If you guys are reading, feel free to reach out, I didn't think to get your contact info :( We descended via the ski trails down to the parking lot. I hitched a ride with them back to the Welch/Dickey parking lot to retrieve my car. The total mileage for my route was 9.5 miles, and it took me 6.5 hours including breaks on the Welch/Dickey ledges to watch the sunrise.

Early summits were partly cloudy, a bit windy on exposed ledges, but following the ridge to Green mountain was very pleasant! Tecumseh had a bit of frost until the sun warmed things up. Nice fall day, good visibility, most of the high elevation leaves are fallen.
