Comments
Comments: Day of deteriorating weather. Raining in the notch, but some blue sky breaking out on 116 this morning. Mt. Kinsman Trail was fairly dry this morning up to the split, then greasy on the steeps. Ridge was wet with minor mud and lots of slippery rock (caution needed on the ledge scrambles). No snow or ice.

The moisture subtly increased while the temperatures decreased. What started off as fog transitioned into occasional drips to light rain. Water running down the trail in places, including at one of the relos (perhaps the water should be drained into the decommissioned trail, as it flows 100 feet or more down the current footbed before reaching some Forest Service logs). Damp on the lower trail with the showers.

Foliage was well past peak with leaves mostly down.
