Comments
Comments: A nice day with blue skies, low winds, and no snow below 2600'. Started on Rocky Branch Rd/Tr and the 1st mile of the road past the gate was still passable but then reached the portion with severe washouts, deep waterbars, and homogenization of the stone/road material from the Halloween storm in 2017. The crossing of the bridge across the river past the old summer trailhead was tricky due to severe erosion and washouts of the bank requiring climbing up the concrete supports and jumping/flopping up onto the bridge, height difference about 3'. There were 2 minor crossings on the way to Rocky Branch Shelter with 1 an easy hop and the other requiring minimal wading.

Snow appeared at about 2600' and was about 1-2" at the col, 3100', likely due to the north aspect keeping it cool and shady. Trees were wet and dripping on us from here until dropping down the south side of the south knob of Resolution. The ledges on the North side of Resolution were slick and this would be a bad place to take a fall as you would likely slide for 100-200'. There was a small cairn in the woods on a herd path to the left/northeast of the top, main viewpoint that is likely the accepted summit location. The unmarked spur was very obvious and wanders out to another nice viewpoint. After dropping down from this knob, the snow disappeared for the day. Mt Parker was the nicer view of the 2 summits imo as there is now a view of Eisenhower and more of Montalban ridge. Nice traverse over the Crippies and the other summits as I logged a few summit canisters. Nice 16mi loop with moderate elevation and the steepest climb up Stairs Col
