Comments
Comments: The forecast suggested snow could drop down to as low as 2,500 feet. There was no snow south of the Flume, however it was winter from the Basin and northbound through Franconia Notch, around Route 116, and through Kinsman Notch. Around lunchtime at Cannon's Peabody base, there was a good 2-3" of sloppy wet snow on the ground.

The Mt. Kinsman Trail had a couple of inches of slop at the trailhead. Snow melting from underneath (unfrozen ground) and dropping off the trees. I was planning on slop for the upper half of the hike, not the entire hike, so I decided to wait for another day. I would recommend winter/shoulder season boots if attempting something in the vicinity this weekend.
