Wow... so if you're hiking on one of the most hiked mountains in the world, bear in mind, you NEED to make a reservation online. Go to the NH State Parks website for details. But be prepared to be redirected to another trailhead due to COVID restrictions. As always in the mountains, have a backup plan. |

Trail was in fine shape. Blazes and cairns are well placed, easy to find and follow. |

The forecast called for cloudy conditions, opening up to "partly cloudy" in the afternoon. But it really wasn't optimistic. I'm so glad they blew it. There was abundant sunshine, great views, and very clement weather overall. As we march inexorably toward winter, today was certainly a treat. This one is short and sweet, but sometimes that's exactly what you need.
