Comments
Comments: The drive to Magalloway always seems long but enjoyable. Dusty long way from route 3 but road in best condition I have see--no potholes. We arrived mid-day and parking lot was full we parked along edge of the road. The road to the tower has been brushed and is in decent shape. We went up the Bobcat Trail, it's steep but in good shape. A few people at the summit and up on the tower. We went to the Spring Spur first (before tower on the right, steep down hill a good tenth there is about a 3 foot diameter stone spring bone dry)--because I am not coming back here again if if I ever get tricked into doing a second redline. Then we went to the Outlook and checked out all three view points and it was a nice clear day. From the firetower we could see Mt. Washington and Rump Mt., Leaving the tower we noticed the only trail sign pointing left to Bobcat and right to Coot. We went down the newly graded wide Coot Trail and since it was dry it wasn't slippery. They did some blasting and lots of grading with deep steep waterbars. Snowmobilers will be happy. Fun time.
