Comments
Comments: With the low water levels, we decided to make this loop. The wet area on East Branch trail between the base of the hill and Wild River Trail was no problem, the mud pits were deep, but it was possible to avoid them and keep our feet dry. Eagle Link is very nice, moderate grades and beautiful glades. Except for Baldface Circle Trail, we only saw 2 hikers and 2 campers. We saw over 45 on the Baldface Circle trail; we were going counterclockwise, which is the opposite of the usual direction. The views from the Baldfaces are very nice. Slippery Brook Trail is a very mild walk down the valley. The last two miles are on a woods road.
