Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: 10 crossings on Downes Brook Tr. All easily managed. 1 crossing on Passaconway Cutoff was easy also.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Occasional blowdowns but they were all passable. Trails were well maintained for the most part. Heavy vegetation on the top of East Sleeper.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: All trails manageable for a dog. Toughest part would have been the slide on Kate Sleeper and the top part of southern Mt Tripyramid slide.
Bugs
Bugs: Decent amount of flies but they never bothered me. Never even applied bugspray. Maybe one or two mosquito bites.

Comments
Comments: Started Thursday 8/20 at 3pm at Downes Brook Trailhead.
Hiked up D.B. to Kate Sleeper and made camp for the night. D.B. trail was lovely and dry with numerous easy brook crossings. Very little mud. Last water source was only maybe 100 yards from Kate Sleeper junction.
Started around 8am on Friday west down Kate Sleeper. Went over the Sleepers towards Tripyramids. Heavy growth on Sleeper trail but all blowdowns were taken care of.
Up south slide and did an out and back of the Tripyramids. Trail was dry with no mud. Back down Kate Sleeper to camp for lunch. Broke down camp and headed over to Whiteface. Took Rollins trail over to Passaconaway. Rollins was clear and dry. Went up Walden route to Passaconaway. Steep slide but clear and dry. Went out 0.3 mile spur to Passaconway viewpoint and saw a rainstorm coming. Drizzled on the way back to Walden slide which was now wet for the decent. Made it a little trickier but was still manageable. Took Square Ledge trail to Passaconaway cutoff to Oliverian Brook trail. All trails were well maintained albeit a little wet from the drizzle. Took O.B. trail back towards Kanc and cut across the XC ski trail 1.2 miles back to parking at Downes Brook. XC trail is very overgrown and pants and shoes got soaked from the wet brush, but it was the home stretch of the hike so I didn't care.
