We followed Signal Ridge Trail to Carrigain Notch Trail to the boulder near the start of the bushwhack. Just around the corner from the boulder is a birch log and a small cairn. This is where the herd path begins. It's pretty easy to follow. There are places where paths diverge and either dead end or return to the main herd path. The talus field was fun. It was steep and with every step the rocks underneath us moved. Cairns mark the entrance to the herd path at the top and bottom of the talus field. My watch recorded 11.2 miles and 5:40 round trip. |
