Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There are 10 water crossings on this trail and parts of the trail go up a stream bed. Not to be attempted during high water! Today all were hop-able and stayed dry.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of smaller blow downs on this little used approach but all were easily walked around, over, or through.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I brought my one year old lab who loved this water-filled route. Stream was full up to 3500 ft!
Bugs
Bugs: Only noticeable in the parking lot.

Comments
Comments: At 12.1 miles RT this is not a route most people take to Whiteface. However I was rewarded with a very gradual approach and zero other hikers encountered until I got to the top. Highly recommended slightly longer approach from the north. Follows the brook almost the entire way.
