Water Crossing Notes: Whitewall brook at zealand falls was high but we walked across some logs. On the way back it had risen even higher and we had to bushwack upstream and Wade through thigh deep to cross. Be wise and mind the current if you choose this method

Comments
Comments: Zealand trail is quite nice right now. It was dry all the way to the hut and there were no bugs yet at the pond. Crossing the brook after the hut was tricky but someone had placed a few logs which were crossable.

Snow begins to appear 3/4 of the way up the Twinway and disappears again at zeacliff. From the cliff to zealand it was the remains of the monorail which cary from 3' deep to nothing. Spikes helped with traction on the inclines but snowshoes would be redundant.

On the return, it seems like a lot of snow had melted and the brook had risen moderately. We decided to bushwack slightly upstream and wade through a slow moving spot. It was still thigh deep here. The current can be deceiving so use discretion if choosing this method.

Lend a Hand to Hale was mostly snow free except a few spots close to the summit. Hale Brook down was clear but very wet. It seems to be random as to where snow is lingering. The cols seem to be hanging on but it was nearly 90 at the summits and it's withering fast
