Several downed trees on the jewell trail; all passable with little fiddly |

There is a sturdy monorail for a half mile or so below the alpine zone where spikes were helpful. In the alpine zone, there are several small patches of snow, still stable enough to walk on barefoot. Snowshoes would be redundant.
Very few people were out. |
