| Bugs: |
Oh yes, they're out. Mosquitoes were voracious for the first mile, joined by blackflies partway up, but from about 2100 feet up, there were fewer. Deet was helpful, and I re-coated on the way down before entering the Bug Zone. I was expecting to have to throw my backpack in the truck and escape quickly when finished, but surprisingly there were no bugs right at the trailhead. Perhaps they had been fried by the 85 degrees temp. |

| Comments: |
There are small sections of ice, easily avoidable, high up. Don't bother bringing the microspikes. Really. |
