Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: One other car in the lot when we arrived at around 9:30, no one but us on the return.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All three stream crossings were running pretty high, but rockhoppable. We all made it across and back with reasonably dry feet.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in excellent shape overall. There are some spots that look really muddy, but you can actually walk right up the middle of most of them as there are rocks just under the muck - a better option than widening the trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: A couple of black flies and one deer fly, but nowhere near as bad as we were expecting.
Lost and Found

Comments
Comments: Great day to be out - just enough breeze on the peak to not be unbearable, but still pretty hot. The cool air was very noticeable at the stream crossings. The most interesting feature was a line of clouds running right along the Connecticut River to the west.
