Comments
Comments: Almost clear hiking up to The Outlook - just a little snow and slush so waterproof footgear is helpful. Lots of snow above The Outlook: much more postholing to mid thigh with your foot in the stream underneath than stable monorail. Would be difficult even with snowshoes, easier just to slog through. Tricky start on the Mahoosuc: no blazes and untrodden snow made the AT difficult to find at first. One on the trail it was pretty obvious. Summit is clear.
