| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
When we arrived, the Park HQ parking lot (aka ice rink) was probably more treacherous than any of the packed snow & little ice we encountered on the mountain trails today. When we got back, it was totally better - but tomorrow will likely bring another ice rink. Be advised. Not cool to get injured before your hike by falling in the parking lot. I suspect this is true at a lot of trailheads this year. |

We totally lucked out and had excellent spring-like conditions hiking Mt Monadnock today. Blue skies with passing clouds, sun and mild temperatures. Beautiful blue bird day. What a gift! |
