Comments: Flat Mountain South

Flat Mountain Pond Trail and Gleason Trail have good snowshoe tracks from previous parties. I left the FMP trail a few hundred yards before the hairpin turn and bushwhacked down to Pond Brook, finding good snow bridges over the brook. From there it was an easy, short bushwhack up to the South Flat Mtn summit through beautiful birch and fir glades. I didn’t see anyone else on the trails or in the parking area.
