| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking lot for Flat Mountain Pond is not plowed, you can park on the road just before the no parking sign. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Drifts, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable) |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
The crossing on Flat Mountain Pond Trail right before the wilderness boundary has an extremely stable ice bridge right beside the pillar where the old bridge was. This bridge has been there since last weekend and is very safe but may not last through warm weather so take advantage of it now! There is an alternate crossing just upstream across some large boulders with large snow caps. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Flat Mountain Pond Trail and Rollins Trail are both in excellent shape. McCrillis Trail has problems on the uppermost mile with blowdowns. The trail adopter (me) will deal with these as soon as spring rolls around. Sorry! |
