Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Higher up on South Imp the trail seemed to be ice over running water. Things were warm and melts enough that it felt like it might not hold much longer.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Several blowdowns. It seems like North Carter Trail needs brush cleared. Lots of little spruces reaching into the trail.

Comments
Comments: I started up Polecat at 7:45 so I had 45 minutes before the lifts started running. I would recommend starting even earlier to try to clear the ski area before the skiers start down.

All of the trails were well traveled but there were lots of areas especially on the ridge where things got soft and powdery. I used snowshoes the whole hike and had two people with spikes tell me they wish they’d had snowshoes.

It looked like the continuation of Carter Moriah toward North Carter and Moriah was trekked out so conditions are probably good to do the full traverse including Moriah.
