Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at the junction of Cross Road and Lower Doetown Road, but discovered the actual trailhead parking area had been plowed at some point, but not recently and not well. Regular cars might have a tough time but high-clearance AWD would be fine. In any event, the road walk in is very short.

Comments
Comments: There wasn't a lot of new snow here -- 2-3 inches of powder over the existing base -- but it was enough for snowshoes to be the best choice round-trip. I didn't see any other hikers and left a good track, but more snowshoe traffic is needed to really pack it down. Skiers have been busy around the bottom half of the trail.

It was easy going until about 0.4 mi. below the summit, where a snowmobile had come down the hiking trail at some point and then turned around, obliterating the previous snowshoe track. Not cool. :(

The actual snowmobile trail was packed completely solid and I used it to descend from the summit, keeping off to the side. A few friendly sledders were out today. I also broke out the northwest view spur, which definitely requires snowshoes as it's deeper and softer powder.

The usual views from the usual viewpoints, plus the heavy snow-laden tree branches opened up the restricted northeast viewpoint a bit more.
