Wapack trail has bunch of unpacked powder in higher elevations and could use some more snowshoe traffic. Marion Davis same story however is relatively better packed compared to Wapack due to more exposure to sun. Traction worked ok for us but snowshoes would have been a better choice to pack the trail. Overall a great New Years start in the woods.
Pee marks right on trail are annoying. Hikers and dog owners need to ensure walking at least 10-20 ft off trail when nature calls. |
