Spotted a car at the bottom of the Carriage Rd and the drove and parked at the end of Belknap Mt. Rd. Plenty of space. The short dirt road walk to the Blue Whiteface trail. |

No dogs... just a lot of poop on the trail, especially on Carriage Rd. |

There are a pair of gloves tucked into a cairn on the Piper. |

Belknap: Whiteface (blue), Piper (white) , Belknap ( green to carriage road)
Micro spikes were necessary for the majority of the trail. We barefooted up to Whiteface and then the spikes stayed on the rest of the day. It was treacherous coming down the green trail from Belknap.. not sure micros were even enough but we made it safely down.. took forever as we meticulously made sure every step was locked in before moving forward. I would avoid the Green trail until there is a lot of snow or it warms up enough to soften the ice. |
