| Comments: |
Hit trail at 8 a.m. Bare booted lower elevations around ice patches........mostly rock and dirt. Steep rock slabs at higher elevations looked like frozen streams, almost all ice. I finally turned around about 0.5 mile from Dublin/MArlborough junction. Trail was smooth/wet ice and melting made whole sheets slide off when I stepped on them. Decided that for first winter hike of Monadnock (solo) discretion might be in order. Will be back when it either snows more or melts more, perhaps with a buddy.
