Comments
Comments: Thin, but solid packed base, with 1-2 inches of stiffening powder on top, in various stages of consolidation. Most hikers wore spikes, and the trail is as much boot packed as it is snowshoe packed. I found it good snowshoeing from top to bottom. I was the last one on the mountain, so the last thing the trail saw was snowshoes. Which is good, because tomorrow we could get a rain/freeze cycle. Pray for snow. (Don't believe in prayer? Well, it worked last year, didn't it?)
