Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Lot near the visitor center was almost full when we got there around 10am. However, there are multiple overflow lots to park in. Parking is $5 per person, or free with a State Parks license plate. I believe the visitor center is staffed all year round. No issues on the road with snow or ice when we went. It was bare.

Comments
Comments: We took White Dot Trail up and White Cross Trail down for a less steep descent, but slightly more mileage. Snow and ice started half way or so up both trails. Wind at the summit caused many drifts to form of deep snow in places and bare rock in others. Spikes are a must now. Bring layers - it was cold and windy!

White Cross Trail had a lot of running water on it, though that may change in the coming days with the snow expected.
