Comments
Comments: I (Trish) hiked to Wildcat A with Alex and Sage, then those two hiked the ridge to Wildcat D before descending the ski slopes. I descended after Wildcat A to get the car and drive to the ski area (the girls needed D for their November Grid, but I didn’t).

Light sleet on 19MBT from 7:15 am or so...that gradually became wet snow. When I descended, not much had been covered up by the new wet snow. I got back to the car around noon, so the rest of the afternoon may see some more accumulation.

We experienced a decent snowfall (not sleet) ascending A on Wildcat Ridge Trail. The snow was sticking up on the ridge, and the closer the girls got to Wildcat D, the larger and thicker the snowflakes became. They say that after today, snowshoes will likely be needed up on the ridge.

The difference between the snow on Wildcat D and the snow on Wildcat A was noticeable - the girls enjoyed a long break on Wildcat D with giant snow flakes and descended in heavy gorgeous snowglobe-type snow...while I walked out on 19MBT in thin wet sleety snow/rain.
