Caution to all who are unaware, but winter is coming south. Barefooted to our turn around point which coincided with the start of ice floes. Likely to be a prospect of spikes on, spikes off for the restive the way. The day was beautiful and some melting was happening which will likely turn to more ice. Snow predicted for Tuesday so be prepared. Rangers were asking hikers if they had spikes, but we saw a number who did not. The primary question was "how far can you go before you hit ice" |
