| Comments: |
Slippery Brook Trail is lightly blazed where the corridor is obvious (the "ramp"); other sections, at lower elevation, where it meanders, are very well blazed.
Baldface Circle Trail near the summit of South Baldface had plenty of areas of thin ice on rocks, especially in the shadows. Relatively easy to avoid, but care had to be taken in some spots.
Baldface Knob is a destination in and of itself -- great spot, with lovely views.
Very nice weather, with just a breeze here and there. We've been up this a number of times, but with much windier conditions. Great to relax on the rocks up top, in the sun.
We saw just a few people, in spite of the lot being pretty full late morning. |
